:: gives you some anti-sickies thinger ::Erm . . .I don't know . . I was still confused. It made me think whether they were Amish folks or something. lol, but then again, don't mind me . . I wasn't paying too much attention to the movie anyway :-/ I'll probably end up watching it again when it comes out on DVD.
it's sort of like they were amishall the elders were members of regular society, looks from the pictures like it was the 70s or 80s and they all suffered a great emotional loss due to the death of someone they loved through crime, so they decided they'd abandon society and create a place of innocence and purity in the wildlife reserve, which i'm assuming was owned by william hurt's character.they made up the thing about the creatures in the woods to keep their population under control and to keep them from going outside the village.
